DESTIN, Fla.(May 2, 2018)– On Friday, April 20, 2018, Dunavant Enterprises, Inc., announced the hiring of Ed Evans as the new general manager for the Henderson Park Inn, a luxury boutique gulf front hotel in Destin.

Evans’ extensive experience in the hospitality industry includes his time as director of member services at Choice Hotels International, executive general manager at Wyndham Vacation Rentals, general manager at Resort Quest, area director for Accor Hotels, and general manager at Sterling Resorts.  During his time with each company, Evans made major contributions and dedicated himself to creating a customer-focused working environment.

Evans has held numerous civic postions, including chairman of the board for the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce, a board he served on for seven years. He was also awarded the Walton Area Chamber Person of the Year in 2015.  Evans has previously been a board member of the Alabama Gulf Coast Area Chamber of Commerce and a prior board member and vice president of finance for the Alabama Gulf Coast Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The Inn is part of The Henderson Beach Resort, a seven-phase project which includes a 171-room luxury hotel, named “The Henderson,” managed by Salamander Hospitality. Located adjacent to the east end of Henderson State Park, guests of The Henderson enjoy views from across the natural park to the Gulf of Mexico. The Henderson boasts a world-class spa, multiple dining venues, a conference center, and a multi-level tropical poolexperience.The latest phase of the project is “The Henderson Lofts”. The Henderson Lofts is a 54-unit residential condominium building located at the corner of Mathew Boulevard and Scenic Highway 98. Future phases of Henderson Beach Resort include plans for additional residential and commercial developments.
