It’s time to honor the man of the hour, DAD! Well, more like man of the year! This Father’s Day celebrate the guy who does everything and anything for the family plus a little bit more. Meet Lexi’s dad, Phil. Renowned for his cooking and bartending skills, Phil is a witty, compassionate dad who befriends everyone who meets him. His command of movie quotes knows no bounds, and his ability to tell a well-timed joke is unpaired. A fan of college football, he’s split his love of the K-State Wildcats to share space with the Ole Miss Rebels, because that’s where both of his kids went to school {and if you’re a sports fan, you know that finding a new favorite team to make your family happy says a lot about a person}. He is the ideal father, and I’m lucky enough to have grown up calling him dad.
Next is Taylor’s dad, John! Fondly known as “The Colonel” among his kid’s friends, John is the epitome of Father of the Year. Not only did he drive his daughter across country (literally from Florida to California) while driving a 26-foot U-Haul with a trailer attached, but he would drop anything in an instant for his kids. John LOVES golfing on the weekends, cheering on the Florida Gators in the Fall, and watching TV on the couch with his two best pups, Bubba & JT. While his fashion choices have been somewhat questionable in the past, he is the best dad a daughter could ask for. I love him very much and wish I could be spending Father’s Day with him this year (even though I know he’ll be on the golf course all day.)
Jessica said she hit the Dad Jackpot when it comes to Jimmy Proffitt! He’s the handiest, happiest, best dad there ever was! Not only does he do everything he can for our family, but he also goes above and beyond for others. He is the first person to lend a helping hand and give his whole heart to giving back to those in need. He is funny, goofy, and the best grandpa to my fur child, Champ! We share a love for travel and a good hike in the mountains. I am so glad to be his little girl and cannot wait for the many more adventures we will have together.

The new taproom offers pints, half pints, growlers to go, wine and non-alcoholic beverages as well as light bites from JC’s Gourmet. There is also free WiFi, multiple televisions, and the occasional live performer on the weekends. You can even bring dad’s best friend, the family dog, to sit by your feet while you enjoy the summer breeze outside on the patio or inside the bustling taproom. Beach & Brew is open from 2-9 p.m., so bring dad in for an afternoon brew or pre-dinner celebratory drink – it’s the perfect spot to commend dad and relax this Father’s Day!
