Local Business Owner to be Featured on HGTV Show

Maggie Matthews of Margaret Ellen Bridal Finds Home in Santa Rosa Beach on “How Close Can I Beach?”  

Inlet Beach, Fla. (April 5, 2018)– Well-known HGTV show, “How Close Can I Beach?” will feature local business owner, Maggie Matthews, of Margaret Ellen Bridal, and her family’s endeavor to find a home on the Gulf Coast. The show, titled “Something New” is set to air on April 15, 2018 at 7 p.m.

A native from Mississippi, Maggie Matthews and her family made the choice to move to Walton County in the summer of 2017 to pursue Maggie’s dream of opening a bridal boutique. Although the process of buying a house is never easy, the endeavor was turned into an adventure with Matthews’ opportunity to be featured on HGTV’s “How Close Can I Beach?”

“The process was exciting, tiring, and fun,” says Matthews. “We spent four full days with the crew from New York City looking for our home. We started very early, with most mornings starting at 8:30 a.m. proceeded by a full day of filming until 6 p.m. We visited three different homes, touring and critiquing each of them. To familiarize the viewer with the area, we also visited and filmed at local 30A hotspots including Bud and Alleys, Grayton Beach State Park, BoatHouse Paddle Club in Watercolor, a fishing charter with Florida Boy Adventures’ Captain Hunter Ray in the Choctawhatchee Bay, and then, of course, on the actual beach.”

After an action-packed filming journey, the Matthews family found their home in the heart of Santa Rosa Beach and settled just in time for Maggie to open her bridal boutique, Margaret Ellen Bridal, at 30Avenue.

Margaret Ellen Bridal first opened its doors to all brides on January 3, 2018. Margaret Ellen Bridal is located on the second floor in the premier shops of 30Avenue, above 30A Olive Oil Company and across from 30A Smiles. Matthews will be hosting a viewing party in celebration of the show’s airing on Wednesday, April 18, 2018.
