Local Influencers and The Henderson Raise Thousands for Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast’s Future Level II NICU
Miramar Beach, Fla. (December 20, 2017) – Hundreds gathered for the area’s first Fashion Flash Sale: Namaste and Shop, benefitting Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast’s future Level II NICU, on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at The Henderson, a Salamander Beach & Spa Resort. A total of $2,294 was raised from the sales at the event which included a matched donation from The Henderson for Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast and their building of the new Level II NICU.
Guests were invited to kick off the event with yoga on the beach from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m., compliments of The Henderson. A mat, towel, and bottled water were all provided for attendants by the resort, and guests were invited to partake in either the beginner or intermediate level yoga classes.
The main event was held in the Crystal Ballroom on The Henderson’s main floor beginning at 10 a.m. As guests arrived, they were greeted with a complimentary glass of lavender champagne by Salamander Spa, and proceeded to shop local, vendor pop ups, which featured new and gently worn clothing, shoes and accessories in an array of sizes and styles, courtesy of area influencers including Belle de Couture, Lipstick, Heels, and a Baby, Little Mrs. Particular, and Proffitt PR.
Along with the area influencer’s clothing, Fashion Flash Sale guests also had the opportunity to shop the India Hicks collection, browse and purchase a variety of art by Jessica Hathorn Cox, learn about incredible offers from Salamander Spa, shop select clothing from The Henderson Boutique, and take photos with 30A Life Photography in front of a custom wall back drop made by Proffitt Home Services and decorated by Mingle. Gift cards for the Salamander Spa were also awarded to one lucky winner every thirty minutes during the event. Twenty percent of proceeds from the event directly benefitted the future home of Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast.

The $2,294 raised from the Fashion Flash Sale will go directly towards Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast’s new 10-bed, Level II NICU which will provide high quality, personalized care for babies who need special medical attention. Advanced care in the NICU will include short-term respiratory ventilation, oxygen therapy, IV nutrition and more. The NICU team will include board-certified neonatologists (pediatricians with specialized training in the care of critically ill infants), neonatal nurses, developmental specialists and other therapists and technicians.
