Our motto: Work hard, play hard, and we did just that at our recent ‘Bae’cation at The Pointe!

Fondly known as “the swankiest new address on Scenic Highway 30A“, The Pointe is a boutique, hotel-style resort that offers guests the finest rooms, amenities, and views. Customer service was the upmost importance at this incredible resort, so it came as no surprise when the lovely management greeted us with gracious smiles and complimentary glasses of wine at check-in {available on select days and times}. It’s like they knew! *Clink Clink*

After meandering through the well-appointed lobby, complete with sparkling chandeliers and the most gorgeous lounge area, we were directed through a pair of large, glass sliding doors which lead to the hottest new pool on 30A. From the private bungalows to the roaring fireplace, this outdoor oasis gives South Beach a run for their money. Cabanas and lounge chairs wrap around the water line and offer private Bahamian island ambiance with a modern touch. The management quickly came to us and asked which color we wanted the pool to glimmer and in unison we exclaimed, “Turquoise!” and poof! The pool shimmered.

Whether you’re sunbathing with a cocktail in hand (umbrella included) or relaxing in the La Cava lounge (a luxurious outdoor living area, complete with TVs) you’re sure to find your paradise. Did we mention one of our favorite restaurants Big Bad Breakfast offers poolside food and refreshments? (Hotty Toddy!)

After we toured the pool, we decided to check out our home-away-from-home: a 2,000+ sq. ft., three bedroom, three bathroom stunner of a suite. Upon entering our abode, we were greeted with coastal-chic interiors, an impressive kitchen, two oversized private balconies, and large master bedrooms, with quaint desk areas and bathrooms that could double as spas. The Pointe did not spare one detail for their units; stainless steel appliances lined the kitchen while beautiful custom bathrooms accompanied every cozy room.

King sized beds, fit for a queen!

We can’t decide which we like more: the glass shower or the Jacuzzi tub!

We made sure to pack only the essentials for our weekend getaway.

This view just won’t quit! Start your day sipping coffee overlooking the pool and end your evening with a champagne toast on the balcony!

Before the evening festivities began, we decided to take a tour (de France) and see what 30A had to offer. Every guest who stays at The Pointe has the opportunity to rent bikes (free of charge!), with combination locks provided, enabling you to cruise like a local. For families with young kids, there are trailer attachments available for rent. Plus four girls on bikes in new duds from LMN and jewels from Ophelia Swimwear {nestled in the heart of Peddlers Pavilion} made for the perfect photo opp! {Y’all know we love a good boomerang}

We peddled over to Rosemary Beach to take in the sights, without the hassle of driving and parking. Rosemary Beach is filled with fun activities for all to partake in and is just a bike ride away. Dining, SHOPPING, paddle boarding, bike trails, and swimming in the Gulf are all right around the corner. Not to mention the countless state parks, lakes, and trails that are all within driving distance of The Pointe!

We hopped back on our bikes and cruised through the beautiful new shopping center, 30Avenue complete with merchants and restaurants like: 30A Olive Oil, amici 30A Italian Kitchen, Barbacoa Mexican Grill, Cuvee 30A, Design, Freshii, Great American Cookies, L.A. Green, Lighting Etc.,  Love 2 Run, Marble Slab Creamery, Mingle, Outpost, Otium, Shades Sunglasses, Shimmering Seas, and Willow + Mercer. After plenty of window shopping we headed next door to the neighboring shopping center, The Crossings, where we scooped up some light bites from Destin Ice Market 30A (complete with bubbly) to snack on while we primed and primped for our event that evening.

What event might you ask? Only the inaugural Costa Enterprises McDonald’s Wine & Fries event (yes, we just said Wine AND Fries!), which was on The Rooftop Sanctuary of The Point. What made it sweeter (or saltier)? It all benefitted Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida.

From the rooftop we took in 360° views of the Gulf of Mexico glittering in the distance, and the outdoor bar area was wonderfully modern, giving guests the opportunity to mix and mingle. McDonald’s famous French fries were passed and cocktails were plentiful. The DJ’s beats kept the night alive while silent auction items trickled throughout. It was literally the picture perfect evening and such a refreshing new location for this new signature event. Able to fit a plethora of guests, with the convenience of staying on site, The Rooftop Sanctuary at The Pointe is the perfect venue for business events, private dinners, and weddings alike. Make sure you check out this new hidden gem FAST!

After an evening of fundraising, cocktailing, networking and taking in one of the best views on 30A, we night capped at one of our favorite restaurants in South Walton, Restaurant Paradis! We started off with a round of craft cocktails.

We ordered multiple appetizers to share, such as the calamari, diver scallops, and beef & bleu cheese tortellini! Afterwards, we skipped straight to dessert and were offered a sampling of everything, from their homemade ice cream to bread pudding!
