Grayton Beer Company to unveil fall seasonal brew, “CentenniALE†Thursday, September 28
The launch of CentenntiALE comes on the heels of the arrival of 1,000 pounds of fresh, wet Centennial hops from Hop Head Farms in mid-August
Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. (September 27, 2017) – At the beginning of August, Grayton Beer Company opened its brewery bay doors and welcomed 1,000 pounds of freshly harvested Centennial hops from Hop Head Farms, located in Hickory Corners, Michigan. The “wet hops,†as they are commonly known in the beer business, traveled 1,000 miles on a refrigerated truck and arrived at the Santa Rosa Beach brewery in early August.
Following the arrival of the hops, the Grayton Beer Company brew team, under the leadership of Head Brewer Tyler White, worked throughout the day to incorporate the fresh hops into their fall seasonal beer.
“The fresh hops give us an amazing opportunity to feature flavors and aromas not normally available in processed hops, said White.†The result is a beer with crisp, bright citrus and floral notes that provide a great balance to the sweetness of the malt.â€
