On Saturday, December 12, 2020 Café Thirty-A will host its annual Christmas Charity Ball benefiting Caring and Sharing of South Walton.
From 7- 11 p.m., the restaurant will be transformed with festive holiday décor. Attendees will be greeted upon arrival with a glass of champagne and enjoy passed heavy hors d’oeuvres, a dinner buffet, and a cash bar. There will be music by DJ 30A and a commemorative photo booth provided by Epic Photo Co. Guests are encouraged to dress in evening attire, black tie optional.
The event will boast a large silent auction and raffle with all proceeds benefiting Caring and Sharing of South Walton’s efforts to provide food and financial assistance to local area families and individuals in need. Last year, the annual Christmas Charity Ball raised over $22,000 through ticket sales, donations, raffle tickets, and auction sales. For area businesses interested in sponsorship or silent auction donation, please contact Jessica Bracken at jessica@proffittpr.com.
“We are lucky to be hosting this event yet again for such an amazing and deserving organization in our community,” said Café Thirty-A owner, Harriet Crommelin. “We hope everyone will join us for an evening filled with holiday cheer, love, and generosity this holiday season.”
If the state of Florida is not out of Phase Two by the time of the event, Café Thirty-A has made arrangements to host a more private event for 50 guests. The intimate event will feature a virtual silent auction, heavy hors d’oeuvres, a photobooth, DJ, raffle, and champagne toast. There will also be hand sanitizing stations located throughout the restaurant along with social distancing procedures in place. The silent auction will take place online in order for both party guests and those who were unable to attend have the chance to bid on a variety of items. Ticket prices will be $100 per person with one hundred percent of the ticket sales and auction proceeds benefiting Caring and Sharing of South Walton.
The purchase of one $100 ticket provides:
- Two bags of food with a 25 lb box of produce and fresh meat for a family of four
- Two, hour long sessions with our onsite Social Worker
- Gas cards to help five clients maintain reliable transportation
The purchase of two $100 tickets provides:
- A payment on a past due utility bill to avoid disconnection
- Four, hour-long sessions with Caring & Sharing’s onsite Social Worker
- Two nights of emergency shelter for a client who has unexpectedly become homeless with his or her children
Funds raised from ticket sales will go directly to providing neighbors in need with access to food, financial assistance, mental health counseling, case management, and connection to other community resources. Tickets can be purchased online at www.cafethirtya.com.
