In partnership with Silver Oak Cellars, Beach Walk Café, an award-winning restaurant nestled within Henderson Park Inn, will host its first wine dinner of the season. For $150 per person on Wednesday, October 16 from 6 to 8 p.m., attendees will dine on the most delectable food, sip on the best wines Silver Oak has to offer and gaze at some of the most spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico.
“This is an idea we’ve had in the works for a long time,” said Beach Walk Café’s Food & Beverage Manager, Michael McIntosh. “And we’re thrilled to have a chance to produce an incredible and unique wine-focused evening for our guests.”
Based in California, Silver Oak Cellars began over a handshake between two friends with a bold vision: focus on one varietal, Cabernet Sauvignon, aged exclusively in American oak and worthy of cellaring for decades to come. Over the years, it’s grown to feature multiple wines and be one of the most sought-after sips for restaurants around the country.
During the wine dinner, McIntosh, a Certified Sommelier, will walk guests through savoring Silver Oak’s 2018 Twomey Sauvignon Blanc, 2017 Twomey Russian River Pinot Noir, 2014 Twomey Merlot, 2014 Alexander Valley Cabernet and 2014 Napa Valley Cabernet.
“Silver Oak has quickly become one of Beach Walk’s and my personal favorite wines,” McIntosh said. “I’m certain that our guests will enjoy it, too.”
From scallop on the half shell to dark chocolate crème brulee and everything in between, the menu for the night is set to accompany all the best the featured wine has to offer.
“We’ve carefully crafted the menu to perfectly pair with each of Silver Oak’s incredible wines,” said Executive Chef, Daniel Peters. “It’s a menu I’ve been really excited about, and I believe the guests will see that when they try the food.”
