After the staggering success of last year’s Sweet Sunday at The Henderson, we decided to bring it back! But this time, we are dedicating the event to the special women in our lives we just can’t live without; our moms. Sweet Sunday: A Mother’s Day Market will be held on Mother’s Day, May 12th, from 1-4 p.m. on the lawn, showcasing local artisans and their handmade jewelry, artwork, candles, textiles and more!

We have gathered some of the best local vendors to showcase their individual products, creations, and crafts that all moms will be sure to love, including Anne Hall DesignsClean JuiceGnarly Fish PrintsHappy SilkLil Plant ShopMary Ellen DimauroMerry Beth Myrick, and The Salty Sparrow. There will also be fresh-cut flowers for sale, specially made by Soireé out of DeFuniak Springs, as well as a “MOMosa” bar with various juices and fruit toppings provided by Primrose, the Henderson’s signature restaurant. Sit, relax and listen to the acoustic music provided by Sarah Anne Davidson, who is right out of Nashville!

The Honey Hutch, Sweet Sunday’s anchor, will be in attendance discussing the importance of bee conservation and their environmental benefits. Business owner (and longtime Destin local), Amy Wright, will also be selling her honey-infused products, including candles, lip balm, soap, lotion, and various gift sets (they’re the bee’s knees!). Each of these makes the perfect gift for mom that she will truly LOVE!

We didn’t forget about the rest of the family! Sweet Sunday is dog, kid and Dad friendly, so there will be plenty of vendors and activities for everyone to enjoy. (Sorry Dad’s you have to come too!) 30A Barks will be in attendance selling homemade dog treats, perfect for that picky pooch! And, for the kiddos, Abrakadoodle will be set up for face painting and special arts & crafts to take home. The dads will especially love perusing the selection of hand crafted premium cigars from Luke Bryan’s cigar shop on 30AShore Thing Cigars. To cool off from the afternoon heat, the whole family can enjoy an organic popsicle from Swell Pops, with flavors ranging from Mango Jalapeño to Cookies & Cream.

Most importantly, we brought back Sweet Sunday to once again raise money for The Sonder Project, a global non-profit charity focused on strengthening communities through food security, clean water, housing and education. After Hurricane Michael, the Sonder Project worked to care for the affected areas causing an enormous local impact by raising money, clearing debris, and working with volunteers, local businesses and contractors to help households recover. To raise money for this hardworking organization, this Sweet Sunday we will be having a silent auction with items from each vendor to bid on. All proceeds made from the auction will be going towards The Sonder Project and their efforts in the community and beyond.

Bring the whole family and enjoy a picture-perfect Sunday afternoon at The Henderson with some of the finest local vendors along the Emerald Coast. We can’t wait to see you there!
