Well, local real estate broker and dear friend of ours, Hannah Martin has done it again! In 2019 the La Lumière party was so heavenly that even the Gods attended. From the VIP Feast of the Gods to elements such as the fantastic entertainment and the sheer number of guests, the party truly carried us out of this world!

Our weekend kicked off at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa with a newly added VIP dinner on Friday, February 8 entitled “Feast of The Gods.” The sophisticated and elegant five-course dining experience showcased exquisite cuisine that beautifully complemented the highly rated and allocated Fleury Wines—and let us confirm, it was to die for!

We spent the next hours enjoying a whimsical evening of live musical and theatrical performances by the Aerial Dragons, an interactive photo opportunity designed by our amazing client, Bontemps Interiors, and a live painting from our favorite local artist, Justin Gaffrey.

But, us girls have to admit that spending money is after all, what we do best!  So, we got our wallets ready for an exciting live auction of highly coveted and curated items and experiences which rounded out the “Feast of the Gods.” This provided attendees an opportunity to further support the weekend’s beneficiaries: South Walton Academy, Special Olympics Florida — Walton County, and Westonwood Ranch. Little known fact: The more sparkle you wear, the more money you raise!

The god and goddess themed weekend of giving continued into Saturday as the day started with a free Pure Barreclass featuring mixes by DJ 30A in The Hilton’s Pelican room. Pure Barre is not for the fainted heart, but beauty is pain and let’s face it, we had some gowns to get into!

After we ‘werked’ it, it was time to get ‘godified’ in the ‘Goddess Glam Lounge”— every goddess deserves her glow right? In the lounge we sipped on mimosas, jammed to DJ 30A and received hair and makeup primping by the stylists of Avantegarde Salon. “Give us all the gold!” was our motto for inspiration.

Then finally, at 6:30 p.m., we began our descent from the heavens to the underworld at the weekend’s main event, “La Lumière: Party of the Gods.” At first sight, we knew we were in for a night of otherworldly decadence. The party space was a whimsical vision with elements of cloud balloons by Mingle, champagne upon arrival, and of course, the party gods, Zeus and Hades themselves!

Everywhere we turned, there was more fun and excitement than a mere mortal should have! Mr. Big and The Rhythm Sister‘s took the stage, Aerial Dragons Entertainment out of Miami, Florida reveled through the crowd and hung from the skies, Epic Photo Co.’s interactive photo booth commemorated, and the dancing never stopped! But the fun didn’t end there! The afterparty revealed DJ 30A was back and better than ever, as guests continued to dance the night away.

And, of course we can’t forget the reason for this annual celebration, it was Hannah’s birthday! We surprised her with a decadent over-the-top cake, as she blew out the candle in front of all of her fans!

As we reflect on the evening, our main take away is the honor we cherish, to have been a part of the #livetogive movement and the La Lumière Foundation that Hannah Martin has created for this incredible community. The heart of Proffitt PR goes out to each beneficiary in hopes that this party has made a difference for the good in the lives of each person and animal in part!

Speaking of good, the absolute cherry on top of this magical weekend, was the award given to our very own Jessica Proffitt Bracken of Proffitt PR—”The Good Human Award!” This award was given to Jessica in honor of her continuous dedication to the community and to the La Lumière Foundation year after year. It was even more special because it game from Jessica’s close friend and soul sister, Hannah Martin.

As a team, we have had the privilege to work beside Jessica every day, and we can truly say this title is so deserving for her. Congratulations Jessica, and to Hannah, we thank you for the kindness you have bestowed on this community as a whole. Cheers to an incredible weekend of giving back!
