SEAGROVE BEACH, Fla. (October 30, 2018) – Old Florida Fish House and Alaqua Animal Refuge have teamed up for the Fifth Annual Alaqua Wreath Auction in order to raise funds for the private, non-profit animal sanctuary committed to serving the Emerald Coast. The auction will take place at Old Florida Fish House on Wednesday, November 28, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Event proceeds will benefit the no-kill facility that was founded in 2007 by Laurie Hood and is located on a sprawling 10-acre farm in Freeport, Fla.

Twenty local businesses will each create a wreath in line with the theme of their company. In years past, wreaths have included restaurant gift certificates, resort weekend stays, and other festive items. These wreaths will be on display throughout the evening and then auctioned off to the highest bidder by auctioneer Helen Vizard.

Area businesses, artists, and talented individuals who are interested in decorating a wreath for the annual event, contact Mary Chris Murry with Alaqua Animal Refuge at mmurry@alaqua.org.

The Wreaths for Alaqua event is open to the public and all community members are welcome. For more information about the event, please visit http://bit.ly/2JoQDpR.
