Inaugural Emerald Coast Honor Games Hosts 9/11 “Moment of Honor†at Destin Commons
Event to be held in honor of events and victims associated with the September 11, 2001, attacks
WHAT:
The Emerald Coast Honor Games, a fitness competition and community atmosphere taking place at Legendary Marine in Destin, Florida, on November 11, 2017, invites the community and area business representatives to participate in a 9/11 “Moment of Honor†on Monday, September 11, 2017, at 7:00 a.m. to remember the attacks on our nation which took place 16 years ago. The event will take place on Destin Commons’ Patriot Circle, at the flag poles.
As the Emerald Coast Honor Games’ mission surrounds raising funds to support defenders of the front line, the group has an innate reverence for those who serve our country and protect our freedom.
The event is being held in honor of the events and victims surrounding the tragic attacks, which took place on September 11, 2001. The ceremony will take place at the flag poles located on Patriot Circle, inside Destin Commons in front of Sephora. Attendees are invited to enjoy a light breakfast, provided by Whole Foods, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. before the program begins. The event will include guest speakers, raising of the flags, the national anthem, and other moments of honor all concluding precisely at 8 am. Attendants are encouraged to make a $10 donation towards supporting the Emerald Coast Honor Games which will benefit the Okaloosa Sheriff’s Star Charities, Healing Paws for Warriors, Special Forces Association, and the Combat Control Association.
