Emerald Coast Theatre Company’s (ECTC) signature event, “La Vie En Rouge,” held on Thursday, March 28 raised $37,467 for the local organization.
Embodied after the hit musical, Moulin Rouge!, the event brought the glitz and glamour of a 19th century Parisian cabaret to the Emerald Coast. From entry to exit, guests were delighted with live musical performances and interactive experiences from ECTC’s talent troupe of singers and actors, sponsored by Grand Boulevard at Sandestin® and Cabana by The Seaside Style.
Guests started their night with a glass of champagne, courtesy of Vin’tij Food and Wine, before entering cocktail hour which featured fare from Tommy Bahama’s and The Ruby Slipper Café. Attendees also sipped on craft cocktails made with Distillery 98 and Campesino Rum, craft beer from Grayton Beer Company and Odd Pelican Beer Company, seltzer from 30A, and wine provided by Thompson 31Fifty, each poured into a commemorative glass, courtesy of Ocean Reef Vacation Rentals and Real Estate. Patrons indulged in additional gourmet bites throughout the evening prepared by local chefs of Aja 30A, Back Beach Barbecue, Cabana Café, Harry T’s, Marrow Private Chefs, and Swiftly Catered. To finish off the night, Chef Fleetwood Covington III of Seagar’s, dazzled the crowd with a live dessert performance featuring chocolate work and dry ice, followed by coffee from Amavida and a special sweet treat from Butter Babe, courtesy of TPK Staffing Consultants.
“What a soiree to remember,” said Anna Fisher, co-founder of ECTC. “The music, the costumes, the food, the performances – we can’t wait to do it again next year! Thank you to each person that supported this event, from the restaurants serving food and local businesses who donated auction items, to the ticket holders and sponsors – you all helped make this event so special.”
Through ticket sales, donations, and silent auction purchases, ECTC was able to raise $37,467. This money will go directly to the organization’s continued mission to enrich and entertain the Emerald Coast community through professional and educational theatre.
