Emerald Coast Magazine’s 2017 Top Salon Competition

Join Emerald Coast Magazine for the most stylish charity event on the coast. The 2017 edition of Emerald Coast Top Salon will be held April 7 at Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa. Fourteen salons, nominated by the community, will showcase their “shear” talent and while raising funds for their chosen charities, all in the form of a dynamic runway show. The seventh annual event will begin with a cocktail hour at 7 p.m. followed by the runway show at 8 p.m.

This event showcases salons from Panama City Beach to Pensacola. The salon teams have 24 hours to transform their model from head to toe. Each salon has selected an Emerald Coast resident as a model who will strut her new style for the judges and audience who will then cast votes via text message. Winners will be determined in three categories: Fan Favorite, Judge’s Favorite and the 2017 Top Salon.

The judging panel includes industry professionals Marsha Doll, owner of Marsha Doll Models; Niki Walker-Kennedy, elite hairstylist at one of the most prestigious salons in New Orleans; Stephanie Borras, owner of Soleil 7 Salon & Spa and Soleil 7 Hair Salon in Tallahassee and Scott Taylor, former Hollywood stylist and owner of Taylor by the Sea in Grayton Beach.

In the months leading up to the event, the models have enjoyed services provided by generous Top Salon sponsors: BluePrint Health Studio, Destin Commons, Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa, Marsha Doll, ZT Motors, 30A Smiles, 30Avenue, Shimmering Seas Jewelry and Epic Photo Co.

General admission tickets are $40 in advance and VIP tickets are $75. Tickets prices at the door will increase to $55 for general admission and $85 for VIP. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the winning salon’s charity of choice.
