Great news! Marlin Grill‘s Happy Hour is back. Served nightly in their U-shaped bar from 5-7 p.m., Marlin’s Happy Hour has become touted as one of the area’s best. Don’t believe us? Take SoWal‘s word for it!

Proffitt PR helped coordinate a SoWal team trip to Marlin Grill just after they first unveiled their Happy Hour menu, and the following are some excerpts of their experience, as seen on SoWal.com.

“Fun is spelled w-i-n-e. And while Marlin Grill’s happy hour vino is chosen for its superior quality, it’s just $6 a glass. Whites are chilled to a perfect 39 degrees, while reds are served at their ideal 55 degrees. If your mantra is ‘wine is fine but liquor’s quicker’, then you won’t be left out. Choice well spirits are $6, and cold domestic beers go for $3.”

“Kobe Beef Carpaccio and Pepper Seared Ahi Tuna redefine the notion of surf and turf. Paper thin US Kobe beef is served on a bed of greens and the dish gets tons of flavor from capers, parmesan and creamy vinaigrette. Sushi grade Pepper Seared Ahi Tuna also finds a place to rest on a bed of greens with a savory vinaigrette. Both are melty and wonderful.”

“It’s all in the details at Marlin Grill, from the relaxed vibe down to the hand cut fries. And if you’re all about the handhelds, Duck Spring Rolls are happy-making indeed. During happy hour, small plate specials range from $5 to $16, with most falling in the $9 sweet spot.”

“Word of advice? Save room for dessert. Many local restaurants claim to have homemade Key lime pie, because…Florida. Well, Marlin Grill actually does, and it’s freakin’ fantastic. Especially with a glass of wine. Or two.”
