Restaurant Paradis’ ninth annual Prohibition Repeal Wine Dinner, presented by Silver Sands Premium Outlets, raised $17,500 for Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF).
Guests gathered at the Rosemary Beach fine-dining restaurant on Saturday, January 11 for a Gatsby-inspired, private dinner. Upon entry, ticket holders made their way into the bar area to enjoy specialty cocktails served in commemorative glasses, courtesy of Buddy’s Seafood. Attendees then made their way into the main dining room where they were seated for a special five-course meal prepared by Paradis’ award-winning chef, Mark Eichin. Each course was expertly paired with wines by Break Thru Beverage Group and sponsored by local businesses and individuals including Robert and Dana Hahn, Scenic Sotheby’s International Realty, Newman-Dailey Resort Properties, and Jeff Garrard of Northwestern Mutual. Throughout the night, attendees were surrounded by live music from Mari Gleason, sponsored by Inlet Beach Real Estate, and florals by Beachside Blooms, sponsored by 30A Luxury Vacations. Boo Media was also there to capture every moment, sponsored by Swiftly Catered.
Proceeds raised from the evening benefit Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF), a local organization that connects wine enthusiasts to raise money to benefit children in need in Northwest Florida. Founded in 2005, DCWAF has donated $35 million to Northwest Florida charities by hosting world class wine and culinary events. These funds have impacted the lives of over 100,000 youth, including those afflicted by health issues and abuse. Currently ranked number five, DCWAF has been recognized as one of the nation’s ‘Top 10 Charity Wine Auction in the U.S.’ by Wine Spectator Magazine for over a decade.
“On behalf of our 17 partner children’s charities, we are honored to be the recipient of this year’s Prohibition Repeal Dinner,” said Karah Fridley-Young, president of DCWAF. “Our friends at Paradis share our commitment to helping children in need in Northwest Florida, and we are grateful for their support.”
Restaurant Paradis will also be partnering with DCWAF for an upcoming Patron Dinner on April 26, 2025, hosted by owners, Monica and Danny Cosenzi, as well as Robert and Dana Hahn, and Levin and Jessica Bracken. The dinner will feature a multi-course menu paired with wines from Domaine Serene. Proceeds raised from the dinner will benefit Point Washington Medical Clinic.
