On Friday, February 25, Costa Enterprises McDonald’s will provide breakfast to over 900 local student athletes and coaches at the All Sports Association (ASA) Buck Smith Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Prayer Breakfast, hosted at Northwest Florida State College’s Raider Arena.

This will be the fifth year Costa Enterprises McDonald’s has sponsored the Annual FCA Breakfast and served as a Platinum Sponsor for the All-Sports Association’s Annual Awards Banquet. This is all made possible through their Costa Cares program, the fundraising and outreach initiative of the company that gifts thousands of dollars to local charities each year.  Student athletes from Okaloosa and Walton County high schools and middle schools will be in attendance for breakfast and Christian fellowship beginning at 7:15 a.m. Costa Enterprises McDonald’s will serve all attendees their classic breakfast offerings.

“We are honored to serve and show our appreciation to these local athletes and schools year after year,” said David Costa Sr., president of Costa Enterprises McDonald’s. “Each of these students work hard year-round to not only excel in their individual sports, but to live each day and approach every game, match or competition with their faith at the forefront. That speaks volumes to their character and as a faith-based company, we are proud to support each and every one of them.”

The All Sports Association’s Annual FCA Breakfast was first held in 1985. For 37 years, the All-Sports Association has gathered local athletes for a breakfast to celebrate the unification of two passions, faith and athletics. It is here where coaches and student athletes come together to inspire and share their personal stories of change through the Christian faith. Speakers at this year’s breakfast will include various FCA students and the 2021 Danny Wuerffel Trophy Winner, Isaiah Sanders, who will share inspirational words and encouragement to those in attendance. The Taylor Haugen Trophy will also be presented to this year’s recipient, Mo Isom, during the annual breakfast.
