Due to the uptick in COVID-19 pandemic variants, out of an abundance of caution, the 2021 Best Of the Emerald Coast event slated for October 16 in Grand Boulevard Town Center has been cancelled.

“The safety and wellbeing of our partners, staff and community is our No. 1 priority,” said Brian Rowland, publisher of Rowland Publishing, Inc., whose proprietary flagship magazines include: Emerald Coast, Tallahassee and 850 Business.

Best of the Emerald Coast winners, voted on by Emerald Coast Magazine readers, will be honored with an award, have their photo taken, and be recognized in the October/November issue of Emerald Coast Magazine and online on EmeraldCoastMagazine.com.

Best of the Emerald Coast was launched as a community event nearly 20 years ago. For the 12th consecutive year, Emerald Coast Magazine will continue to support its beneficiary, the Junior League of the Emerald Coast, by launching a fundraising campaign called, Give Your Best.

Proceeds from Give Your Best efforts will support the Junior League’s annual program, the Child Clothing Project. Each year the Child Clothing Project provides clothing, books, school supplies and other essential needs to more than 400 children in the local community.

“We know we have the best community anywhere. We are asking locals to celebrate and give their best by donating what they would have spent on tickets to Best of the Emerald Coast directly to the Junior League,” explains McKenzie Burleigh, associate publisher for Rowland Publishing, Inc., who leads Best of the Emerald Coast for Emerald Coast Magazine.

There are several ways to Give Your Best. To donate funds online, visit 850tix.com/organization/1127/donate or simply text BOECGIVES to 76278.

Another way to support the Junior League is by participating in its Best of the Emerald Coast Silent Auction, which will be virtual this year. Visit www.emeraldcoastmagazine.com/best-of-the-emerald-coast/ for details on the upcoming auction and how you can bid on auction items and packages donated by Best of the Emerald Coast winners and local businesses.

Best of the Emerald Coast benefits the Junior League of the Emerald Coast. It was made possible with generous support from presenting sponsor Emerald Coast Magazine, presenting sponsor/host venue Grand Boulevard Town Center with support from Silver Sands Premium Outlets, Proffitt PR, Land Air & Sea Productions, Agency Four, 98 Distillery, Idyll Hounds Brewery, Gulf Power and Trulieve.

“We are grateful to our Best winners, our loyal sponsors, and to the Emerald Coast community for their support. We look forward to doing all we can to raise funds and awareness for the deserving Junior League of the Emerald Coast, and to making next year the best Best of the Emerald Coast event yet,” Burleigh said.
