With local designer Alec Hritz, who was part of the White House Christmas decorating team in 2019, at the helm, local boutique hotel Henderson Park Inn is ready to show off the most spectacular Christmas décor it’s ever displayed.
“We’re honored to have a decorator with this kind of resume at the Inn,” said Shannon Howell, owner representation and general manager of Henderson Park Inn. “He is so incredibly talented, and the Inn looks more festive than it ever has.”
Uniquely enough, the adults-only, all-inclusive beachfront property found Hritz, not through his interior design company or the White House decorating team, but through his daughter, Hayden, who is currently the guest services manager at Henderson Park Inn. When his daughter mentioned the upcoming task of decorating the Inn, he jumped at the chance.
“After walking the Inn and chatting with the team, I knew this was a project I couldn’t pass up,” Hrtiz said. “And since I wasn’t able to go to the White House this year, Henderson Park Inn was the next best thing.”
Hritz and his team spent three days decorating the two buildings of Henderson Park Inn, which now features five Christmas trees and festive displays throughout the property. He hopes that, as guests approach the Inn, they’ll feel welcomed by the classy coastal Christmas charm that was his vision when decorating the Inn.
“It’s stunning, really,” Howell said. “It’s definitely decorated to make sure that all of our holiday festivities feel extra special this year.”
To see the décor, the Inn invites everyone to book a room or dine at Beach Walk Café, the Inn’s award-winning, in-house restaurant, this holiday season.
“The Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve dinners at Beach Walk with a stay at the Inn are probably the best way to see the décor,” Howell said. “It’s the best way to truly experience the holidays with us.”
