Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty is pleased to announce the hire of new Realtor, Chip Bartlett.

Born in Texas and raised in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Bartlett is a graduate of the University of Arkansas. Having vacationed along 30A for many years and most recently exchanging vows with his wife Sarah in Alys Beach, Bartlett knew the couple wanted to call this area home. The two moved to the Emerald Coast from Washington, D.C. in November, 2016.

Prior to his new position with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty, Bartlett worked for the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), a bureau of the U.S. Department of the Treasury. While at FinCEN, he was a Liaison between U.S.-based financial institutions and the U.S. Treasury Department. Before his role as a Liaison, Bartlett was FinCEN’s Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City. In this role, Bartlett directly supported criminal and civil financial investigations by coordinating with U.S. Law Enforcement Agencies to collaborate with FinCEN’s Mexican Government counterparts.

While real estate is a new venture for Bartlett, the industry has been a passion from an early age.

“Given my involvement in family home searches and transactions growing up, my Mom always encouraged me to pursue a career in real estate,” said Bartlett. “However, it wasn’t until my wife Sarah and I were sitting on the beach over the Fourth of July that she encouraged me to follow my passion and leave the ‘comfort’ of the Government-Policy world, that I decided to make the jump.”

As a new Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty Bartlett is most looking forward to the relationships he will build, both in and out of the office.

“It was the staff and agents that solidified my decision to hang my license with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty,” said Bartlett. “That being said, I most look forward to developing new and existing relationships with clients and friends while helping them achieve their dream of owning a house at the beach. The initial search and subsequent closing with the clients will be satisfying, but being here and being able to see their many years of enjoyment and memory building will be the most rewarding.”
