Bands of 30A Second Community Concert Raises $5,200 for Food For Thought Outreach Inc.

Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. (January 8, 2018) – To raise monetary help and awareness for a local charity who needs community support, Bands of 30A recently hosted their second fundraising concert.  The Bands of 30A concert was held at the Seaside Amphitheater, Sunday, December 17, 2017, where all proceeds from the event were donated to Food For Thought Outreach Inc., an organization which fights child hunger in Walton and Okaloosa Counties.

With help from Bands of 30A, the event raised over $5,200 through ticket sales from those who gathered to enjoy live music by local artists throughout the day. The lineup included Casey Kearney, the Graytones, Jacob Mohr, Luke Langford Band, and Will Thompson.

“We were extremely pleased with the turnout for this concert,” says event organizer Casey Kearney. “We faced challenges with the uncertain weather the day of and with Christmas only one week away, we knew it was a busy time for everyone but the community was supportive and the bands were awesome.  We are looking forward to our March concert, which we will have more details for soon.”

Although the event was free to attend, concert goers were asked to make a $10 donation for full day access to the festivities. New to this event, Bands of 30A also offered VIP advance donation passes for $60. VIP packages included premium concert seating provided by Cabana Man, an event t-shirt provided by iPROMOTEu, an official Bands of 30A cup for half priced drinks at Great Southern Café, provided by The Well Church, and band meet and greets.

“It was such a fun day,” stated Bands of 30A Secretary, Crystal Smith. “As a coordinator of many different types of events, this was by far one of the most joyous. When you get to help out an incredible cause and have fun, that’s just good for the soul. So very excited for the goals we are setting and surpassing. It’s going to be a great year.”

The Santa Rosa Beach community was a huge factor in making the concert successful again. Sponsors included 30A, 30A Event Planning, Cabana Man, East Village Fashion, Eloquent Signs, Enlightened Studios, Grayton Seafood Co., Great Southern Café, Homes of 30A, iPROMOTEu, Justin Gaffrey Gallery, Kansas Pitts Photography, Luke & Blue’s Custom Homes, Proffitt PR, Shirt Shack, Seaside, Studio Northwest, and The Well Church.

“We are so thankful for all of our wonderful sponsors that helped make this event a success,” says Bands of 30A Vice President, April Roach. “With the help of our local sponsors, businesses, and local family the Bands of 30A is excited about our future events.”
