The husband and wife duo behind The Perfect Pig and Preacher’s Kitchen at Gulf Place, Jeff and Vickie Miller, have introduced The Deep South Market to South Walton. The Deep South Market, which celebrated its Grand Opening on October 8, 2016, is the restaurant veteran’s dream combination of delicatessen and boutique gift shop.

“I am a foodie from way back,” said Vickie Miller, owner of The Deep South Market. “Beginning in the 90’s with my catering company in Atlanta, Eighteen Carrot Catering, I have always loved food. From buying gourmet ingredients to preparing them and then enjoying those dishes with friends. It is all such a treat! A gourmet market has long been on my to-do list for quite some time, and I’m excited we could bring it to Gulf Place.”

The Deep South Market is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with extended in-season hours. To-go orders and general inquiries about the market can be made by calling (850) 660-1591. Along with the opening of The Deep South Market, The Perfect Pig recently updated their bar to include more space, which flows effortless into the market.
